Yorkshire Puddings

The following instructions are for a two oven renovated ElectricKit Aga – the same applies to a 4 oven renovated ElectricKit Aga

You will need:-

12 hole bun tin

Ingredients

100 g /3.5 oz plain flour

1/4 tsp salt

3 large free range eggs

225 ml /8 fl oz milk

4 tbsp sunflower oil

Method

Set the Roasting oven heat to 220 degrees C

Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl

Make a well in the centre of the flour and add the eggs and a portion of the milk

Whisk to a smooth consistency and then slowly add the remaining milk.

Transfer the mixture to a jug

Drop a tsp of oil into each hole of the tray and transfer to the hot oven for 5 mins to achieve hot oil

Remove from the oven and pour the batter into each hole leaving room for the mixture to rise (3/4 full in each hole)

Return the tray immediately to the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes

Serve right away

The puddings can be made beforehand and reheated in a hot oven for around 8 minutes prior to serving
