Where do you get your second hand Aga range cookers from?
We buy our cookers from the original owners who are either upgrading to a new Aga range cooker moving house or who are carrying out kitchen renovations that call for larger Aga range cookers or more conventional cookers. All our Renovated Aga range cookers are retained as a whole throughout the renovation process and parts are not mixed and matched with other cookers.
Are your cookers properly enamelled using the standard techniques?
All of our renovated Aga range cookers are vitreous enamelled at a high quality plant in Birmingham. The vitreous enamel is the same as that carried out on new Aga range cookers – it is hard, enduring, and will stand the test of time. The enamelling process is highly skilled and results in lustrous and rich colours. Each Renovated Aga range cooker is hand built in our workshops before being dismantled ready for delivery and subsequent rebuild on site. Renovated Dual and Total Control Aga range cookers are tested by our engineers but are then delivered in one piece as per AGA range cookers own practice.
What colour Renovated Aga cooker can I order from you ?
We offer a very large range of colours and samples may be requested from us in advance of ordering. If you have a very special colour in mind to match an interior or kitchen cabinetry we can create that colour for you, but there may be an additional charge. There is a huge selection of enamel colours available, not all of which are shown on our website – if you do not see the colour you would like, please do give us a call.
Are your cookers all retained as the original fuel type or can they be converted models?
Generally our renovated Aga range cookers are retained with their original fuel type ( known as Purpose Built Models ). However, we also offer upgraded models that have been professionally altered from Gas or Oil to work on 13 amp electric. We only use the very best conversion system which we helped to design many years ago and to which many thousands of our past customers will attest. Our system is simple, very effective and trouble free.
Do you use branded parts and are they all new?
All our renovated Aga range cookers are fitted with many new parts and returned to showroom condition. Many parts are replaced with new components and these are Aga range cooker branded wherever possible. All the internal cast iron parts receive specialist shot-blasting before pre assembly to ensure they are clean. Whilst being pre-assembled, the cooker is fitted with new lids, lid liners, door backs, rope and ceramic seals. Oil fired models are also fitted with new oil controls and fire valves.
What about the environmental impact?
If you purchase a renovated Aga range cooker from us you are doing you bit for recycling. Whilst some parts are replaced for new the main body of the Aga range cooker remains intact. Unlike many other forms of cooker, the Aga range cooker will last for many years (we regularly see and work on Aga range cookers up to 80 years old). Our extensive and careful renovation will mean that your Aga range cooker will last for many years to come.
What cookware comes with my renovated Aga cooker?
All our renovated Aga range cookers are supplied with a grid shelf plus a cold shelf for use in the main ovens.
Does my renovated Aga cooker require a plinth?
Most models (except the Dual and Control Models) will require a plinth of some sort. You can either build your own plinth or we can supply a steel plinth at an extra cost of £175 for a 2 or 3 oven Aga cooker, or £200 for a 4 or for cookers with modules.
Our plinths are constructed from steel and are adjustable for level they can allow you to bring the cooker up to work top height and away from any combustible flooring..
What is the difference between buying a new Aga range cooker and a renovated one ?
Price is the big difference. Our renovated models are a lot less expensive than new, yet the cookers are brought back to showroom condition. We are pleased that we are able to recycle these great cookers and contribute in a small way to help save the planet.
Are Aga range cookers difficult to use and how do you learn to cook on them ?
Once mastered, using an Aga range cooker is very easy and presents you with a stress free mode of cooking. We offer one to one or one to a group cooking demonstrations via our resident chef who is also a cookery writer and has years of practical experience.
Where do you deliver to?

Will my cooker be delivered in one piece or will it be built on site from component parts ?
Most Renovated AGA range cookers are carried into your property piece by piece and built in your kitchen. This is the proper method and has always been used by Aga range cookers themselves. The latest control series AGA range cookers like the dual and total control models are actually delivered in one piece and we will carry out the site inspection prior to these deliveries to insure that the Aga range cookercan be successfully brought into the kitchen.
What is the waiting time from order to delivery?
For fully refurbished models processed to your specification we normally like around 6 to 8 weeks for preparation, however this may be reduced in the Summer season. For models that are part refurbished or sold as seen delivery will be in the range of 2 to 3 weeks depending on our installation schedule.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing at time of order, our standard terms of business are a reasonable deposit at time of order followed by the balance of the cooker price less the installation charge 7 days prior to the agreed delivery date. The final fitting charges are payable on the day of satisfactory completion Payments are preferred by credit or debit card but can also be made by Bank Transfer or via Pay Pal. We do not accept cheques.
We will often accept trade in Aga range cookers and the allowance given will depend on the age, model and condition
With so many models, fuel types and flue differences we would suggest that you call us to discuss site preparation in detail. If required we will be happy to arrange a site inspection prior to ordering. A charge may be made for this service but it will be refunded if a subsequent order is received.
We install many renovated Aga range cookers ourselves, but we also have well trained qualified, experienced and dedicated engineers available across the country who will install and service your renovated Aga range cooker.
