Colours are not a true representation and just a visual guide.
Vitreous enamel is the result of fusing powdered glass to a surface, such as cast iron, by firing it at an extremely high heat in a furnace at temperatures between 750 and 850 degrees centigrade. It is the firing process that gives vitreous enamel its unique combination of quality and durability.
Vitreous enamel has many excellent properties. It is smooth, hard, chemically resistant, durable, can be blended into brilliant, long-lasting colours, and cannot burn. ** Be careful when cleaning your enamel ! Do not use anything abrasive. A soft cloth and a mild soap will often surfice but for more stubborn dirt and marks use an e-cloth and an approved product like “Astonish” paste. Warning: Do not use “Ecover” products on enamel as they will leave an irrevocable mark.
The vitreous enamel comes in 24 standard colours. In addition to these, we will do our best to match any colour you request and can even produce decorative designs and patterns.
Our enamelling is carried out locally by a dedicated team of talented artisans with whom we have had a rewarding 30 year relationship
