In 2019 and 2020 even these have been upgraded and other models in a similar vein have been added to the list.

In recent times Aga Rangemaster has added several innovative electric models to their range of products. Most prominent of these are the Dual Control and Total Control models both running on a 32 amp supply. In 2019 and 2020 even these have been upgraded and other models in a similar vein have been added to the list. As renovators we can offer limited numbers of the Dual and Total Control models but these are not as readily available as the other electric models.

The Dual Control Aga range cooker comes in 3 oven and 5 oven versions. The 3 oven version is the same width as a standard 2 or 3 oven Aga i.e (987mm), and the 5 oven is the slightly less in width than a standard 4 oven Aga at 1478mm (both 3 and 5 oven Dual Control Aga range cookers sit on their own built in plinths and stand at 913mm from base to work surface ).

The 3 oven has a roasting oven with a simmering oven below it and a baking oven on the lower left. The electric controls are located behind a fourth door on the upper left of the cooker. The 5 oven Dual Control has the same set up as the 3 oven but has 2 additional but independent ovens on the far left side of the cooker which are controlled by a button on the front of the cooker. The 2 additional ovens constitute another simmering oven plus a warming oven. On the 5 oven the traditional warming plate on the top left can be replaced by a single large induction hob insert.

The hot plates on a Dual Control can be individually switched off and on and are independent of the cooker. This independent control of the boiling and simmering plates is the key to the low running cost of the Dual Control versus the more conventional Aga models where the plates remain on all the time.

The 3 oven Dual Control runs on a 32 amp supply, whilst a 5 oven Dual Control requires a 32 amp supply for the main cooker plus a separate 13 amp supply for the two left hand ovens. Both these models can be vented into the room or to the outside by means of a 28mm copper pipe to the rear or to either side of the cooker, thus giving total flexibility in location. The Dual Control Aga range cooker follows very closely the functions of other electric Aga range cookers, that is to say it is designed to be on all the time and to give out background warmth to the kitchen. It can however be controlled and can be run at a low (eco) heat setting to reduce the amount of heat into the room as required. Return to full heat from say 75% power (180C) to 240C can be achieved in around 40 minutes, making this a very versatile and simple machine. Aga range cookers are constantly upgrading these versions and a technical conversation with us is advised to make sure you are brought up to date on any advancement prior to purchasing.

The Total Control Aga range cooker comes in 3 oven and 5 oven versions. The 3 oven version is the same width as a standard 2 or 3 oven Aga i.e (987mm), and the 5 oven is the slightly less in width than a standard 4 oven Aga at 1478mm (both 3 and 5 oven Total Control Aga range cookers sit on their own built in plinths and stand at 913mm from base to work surface ).

The hot plates on a Total Control can be individually switched off and on and are independent of the cooker. This independent control of the boiling and simmering plates is one of the keys to the very low running cost of the Total Control and the Dual Control versus the more conventional Aga range cooker models where the plates remain on all the time. From cold the Total Control can be brought up to full temperature in around 60 minutes.

The 3 oven Total Control runs on a 32 amp supply, whilst a 5 oven Total Control requires a 32 amp supply for the main cooker plus a separate 13 amp supply for the two left hand ovens. Both these models can be vented into the room or to the outside by means of a 28mm copper pipe to the rear or to either side of the cooker, thus giving total flexibility in location. The Total Control Aga range cooker is designed to be left on a very low standby/eco temperature of around 110C until required for cooking at which point it can be switched up to reach full operating temperature in around 20 minutes. As the Total Control is generally in this low heat mode, it is not putting a lot of heat into the kitchen and is thus favoured for situations where here is under floor heating and/or sealed windows etc. when the full ambient heat of a traditional style Aga range cooker is not required. It can however be turned up to full to produce the same effect if and when required which makes it a totally flexible device.

The Total Control Aga range cookers have a remote control handset which can be used to programme the ovens to come on automatically for one or two cooking cycles per day, seven days a week.
