{"id":2121,"date":"2022-08-22T12:55:16","date_gmt":"2022-08-22T12:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/westbrookcookers.com\/?p=2121"},"modified":"2022-08-28T08:32:39","modified_gmt":"2022-08-28T08:32:39","slug":"the-very-best-chocolate-brownies-electrickit-aga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westbrookcookers.com\/?p=2121","title":{"rendered":"The very Best Chocolate Brownies &#8211; ElectricKit Aga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>The very best chocolate brownies<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2123 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/westbrookcookers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/chocolate-brownies-peanuts-300x272.jpg\" alt=\"chocolate brownies\" width=\"300\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/westbrookcookers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/chocolate-brownies-peanuts-300x272.jpg 300w, https:\/\/westbrookcookers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/chocolate-brownies-peanuts.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We have been through a heat wave where nothing seems to have been achieved.\u00a0 Yesterday, I forced myself into action.\u00a0 I decided to cook a long ago recipe I used to make for the children.\u00a0 I think it was inspired by Blue Peter!\u00a0 The special ingredient is Salted Peanuts \u2013 who would know?\u00a0 This recipe makes enough for 10 people, and the brownies will keep in an air tight tin for about a week.\u00a0 Who wants to keep cooking?\u00a0 I am all for batch cooking and freezing.\u00a0 Turn your ElectricKit roasting oven to 180 degrees.\u00a0 Cook your bake on the second set of runners down from the top.\u00a0 Place the cold plain shelf beneath your bake for the last 10-15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients you will need to set these out before you cook<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>300g of soft butter and 375g of caster sugar<\/p>\n<p>4 very large free range eggs with lovely yellow yolks<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon of baking powder and 75g of cocoa powder<\/p>\n<p>100g of plain flour (I used Organic) and \u2026.<\/p>\n<p>100g of salted peanuts<\/p>\n<p>In addition, I also chopped in some dark 70% chocolate \u2013 about 100g.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What to do<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>You will need a food mixer \u2013 tip the lot into the bowl and mix on a low setting, except for the nuts and chocolate .\u00a0 These will need to be mixed in by hand before you cook the mixture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Line a half sized roasting tin (I used stainless steel) with baking parchment.
